José Félix Jr. (38-4-1) will have an experienced opponent on April 24, when he faces experienced Adalberto “Terrible” Borquez (30-21-1) in a ten-round battle in the super lightweight division in the Boxing Club Promotions featured bout to be held at the PTV Arena, in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico.
The Mochitense boxer has embarked on a strong comeback in his career, after his loss to Isaac “Pit-bull” Cruz in 2018 and a two-year hiatus. Josesito returned in November 2020 and showed that he still has quality to spare.
“When we are young, everything becomes easier for us; I have learned in this time many things that have cost me a lot. Today, thanks to God, we are being given a new opportunity in Boxing and we are going to take it more seriously, with experience and without making the mistakes of before,” said the once world title challenger.
Félix spent a good part of his career abroad and became a challenger to the WBA world championship in 2014.
“The main thing is to win the next fight and then fight again in the United States, and to get closer to another shot at a world title ”, he concluded.
Josesito’s last performance was a second-round TKO against Jesús Laguna from Sonora.
