Liam Paro

Highly rated Australian Liam Paro is readied for the challenge of Yomar Alamo, with the pair clashing on the undercard of Tommy Fury and Jake Paul in Tampa, FL.

The Fury Paul card that will be televised live on Showtime PPV is the highest-profile outing of Paro, who will defend his WBO and IBF regional titles on the highly talked about event on December 18.

Paro opened up about his US debut, “I couldn’t be more excited for this fight. Alamo is a good fighter. He’s highly rated in the WBO so this clash will show who’s ready to fight for the world title next, and I believe that is me.

“I have to say a massive thanks to my promoter Angelo Di Carlo and ACE Boxing for making this happen for me alongside Most Valuable Promotions. This is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year, live on one of the biggest platforms in the world in Showtime PPV. This is what dreams are made of really.”

Paro has relocated to Las Vegas, NV, with his partner recently joining him from Australia. The undefeated 140 pounder discussed his relocation and camp in Vegas.

The Aussie said, “Being in Vegas has taken me to another level. Sparring the likes of Devin Haney, Shakur Stevenson and Rances Barthelemy amongst other elite names has shown me I’m at that level, and I’m going to prove that to a worldwide audience on December 18.

“My partner flew in from Australia and having her here is making things more comfortable. It’s just extra motivation to put on a career-best performance and show the world they can’t ignore me when they talk about who’s going to challenge for world titles at 140. I am going to put myself at the front of that list on Showtime this December.”
