Rivera Promotions Entertainment (RPE) hosted a press conference yesterday at Drafters Sports Café in Grosvenor Dale, Connecticut, to formally announce its “New England Future VIII” card on December 18 at Webster Town Hall in Webster, Massachusetts.
It marks the first professional boxing event in 27 years in Webster, where RPE promoter Jose Antonio Rivera fought twice in 1993 and 1994.
“We are excited to be finishing 2021 with an exciting card in Webster, Massachusetts,” said Rivera, a retired 3-time, 2-divisional world champion boxer. “All of our previous boxing events have been in Worcester and we will continue to bring exciting events to our hometown. We appreciate the love and support we have always gotten there, but we knew the time would come where we will want to branch out to other states, cities, and towns. Our ‘New England’s Future 8’ will be the first.”
