Everlast Teams Up With Irish Sensation Caoimhin Agyarko

Caoimhin Agyarko

Everlast, the brand of choice for generations of world champion athletes, today proudly welcomes rising star Caoimhin Agyarko.

The deal will also see Caoimhin become an ambassador for Sports Direct Ireland, with more exciting news to come on the partnership soon.

Caoimhin, 24, is an undefeated Irish middleweight, with a perfect record of 9-0 harbouring 6 knockouts. He recently signed a management deal with STN Sports back in September 2021, before agreeing a promotional deal with Matchroom Boxing in November.

His first fight under the Matchroom stable will see him come up against unbeaten American Noe Larios Jr, on the undercard of fellow Everlast stablemate Conor Benn – who will be up against former world champion Chris Algieri in Liverpool on December 11th.

However, Caoimhin’s future in the sport didn’t always look as bright as it does today, when back in 2017 he endured life threatening injuries after an attack that left him with a terrifying wound on his face at only 20 years of age.

Caoimhin astonishingly went on to win a gold medal within 6 months of the attack, at a multi-nations’ amateur tournament in Spain.

He is the latest to join Everlast’s existing stable of elite athletes, which includes Josh Taylor, Conor Benn, Jack Catterall, Lee McGregor, Chantelle Cameron, Liam Smith, Archie Sharp, Craig Richards, Natasha Jonas, Dalton Smith, Jordan Gill and Hopey Price. Together, the #TeamEverlast fighters seek to inspire the fight in us all.

In signing a long-term partnership with the premier fight sports and fitness brand, the athletes will use Everlast equipment and wear the new Greatness sportswear range. Battle-tested in one of the toughest athletic environments, Everlast products have been imagined by a hundred years in the gym, designed and engineered to empower your best self.

They exemplify Everlast’s values of authenticity and dedication, as we champion brave individuality, seeking out people and partners who express themselves boldly and creatively.

Commenting on the partnership, Agyarko said: “I’m over the moon to be partnering up with Everlast, having them support my career means so much.

I’m proud to be a part of the team. I’ve got some massive nights ahead of me and with Everlast backing me, there’s no doubt I’ll go all the way to the top.”

“We’re very proud to welcome Caoimhin Agyarko, to Team Everlast” said Chris Zoller, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for Everlast.

Caoimhin is a rare talent that has overcome so much of adversity in life yet remains genuine and positive. We are honoured to be a part of his journey.”

Everlast and its users share an inner and outer strength. It is for those with a strong sense of self and commitment in whatever they do, in both athletic and non-athletic endeavours.

Everlast supports the individual spirit that drives uniqueness and greatness within each of us.

Paul Ready of STN Sports said “Ireland has a rich history of producing world class fighters and Caoimhin is the next great fighter to come from there.

With Sports Direct and Everlast backing him as an ambassador in Ireland, we feel this gives him the perfect platform to continue growing his brand to a wider audience back home.”
