Fast-rising middleweight Janibek ‘Qazaq Style’ Alimkhanuly 12-0 (8) has accused Demetrius ‘Boo Boo’ Andrade 31-0 (19) of avoiding him.

The 29-year-old Zazakh southpaw won the interim WBO 160-pound title against Danny Dignum 14-1-1 (8) by second-round knockout in Las Vegas in May.

American southpaw Andrade, 34, has opted to move up in weight to the super middleweight division where Mexican superstar Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez 57-2-2 (39) holds all four of the major sanctioning body belt.

The WBO has elevated Alimkhanuly to full championship status and he will make the first defense of his world title later this year on a Top Rank on ESPN card.

“Demetrius Andrade had no interest in fighting me,” said Alimkhanuly. “I wanted to fight him because I know I would knock him out. He ran away to super middleweight to avoid fighting me. But don’t worry, Demetrius. After I unify the belts at middleweight, we can fight.

“The middleweight nightmare is here to stay! Now that I am a world champion, I will continue to show that ‘Qazaq Style’ is the best style.”

Alimkhanuly has high ambitions. He wants to face WBC middleweight champion Jermall ‘Hit Man’ Charlo 32-0 (22) in a unification bout.

“I’d have no issue fighting Jermall Charlo for his WBC title,” Alimkhanuly said. “We are both champions, so let’s unify the belts. Charlo would be easy work for me and he knows that. Champions should fight other champions. It’s too bad the other so-called ‘champions’ do not feel that way.”

Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum added: “I would pick Janibek over any middleweight in the world. He is a southpaw with tremendous power and will reign over the division for a very long time.”

Last year Alimkhanuly dominated former world title holders Rob Brant and Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam, stopping them both in six rounds.

“I knocked out two former world champions and beat an undefeated boxer,” Alimkhanuly said. “I am world champion. I’ll knock out all champions! Who’s next?”
