Australian promotional outfit No Limit Boxing have revealed a bumper late winter schedule that will see four televised fight cards in the next six weeks.

The quick run of fights will culminate with a pay-per-view double header on August 23 featuring super featherweight contender Liam Wilson 11-2 (7) and popular junior middleweight Nikita Tszyu 6-0 (5) in separate bouts against opponents to be named.

The 27-year-old Wilson was a late call up to face Emanuel Navarrete 37-1 (31) for the vacant WBC super featherweight in February, dropping the Mexican for what appeared to be a long count before being stopped himself in the ninth.

Wilson reflected on the loss.

“It was a very unfortunate outcome, I was so close to being world champion and fulfilling my dreams,” Wilson said. “The circumstances were unfortunate, but it’s sparked a motivation in me to be world champion. I was so close and I can’t wait to get back in there.”

Southpaw Tszyu, 25, is the younger brother of WBO interim 154-pound titleholder Tim Tszyu. He says he needs to get more rounds in to develop as a boxer.

“We’re looking to increase the tempo and the intensity,” Tszyu said. “For me I’m still trying to gain more experience, that’s the main thing for me, I couldn’t care less about the knockouts, I’m trying to level up and build me skills and you don’t get that with a one round fight you get that with a tough fight and one that goes the distance.

“This time around we’re looking for someone who is definitely more experienced and able to go the distance. That’s the kind of fight I need.”

No Limit CEO George Rose said: “We started 2023 with a bang and now we are taking it to the next level with a run of high quality, all action shows fight fans have come to expect from us.

“These are career-changing nights for fighters – rising stars looking to make their mark, world-ranked opponents going to war and Australian and international title fights where absolutely everything goes on the line.”

Kicking off proceedings will be a July 19 card topped by Youssef Dib vs Miles Zalewski at lightweight and Paulo Aokuso vs Renold Quinlan at light heavyweight.

One week later Tayla Harris will headline an all-female fight card when she challenges Millicent Agboegbulen for the Australian junior welterweight title.

August 9 will see Issac Hardman return to middleweight to take on Japan’s Kazuki Kyohara.

“I’m really happy with the schedule we’ve put together over the next six weeks which includes the returns of some fan favorites, our first all-female fight card and a massive Nikita Tszyu and Liam Wilson double header next month,” Rose continued.

“Over the next month and a half fight fans will get to see the likes of Nikita Tszyu, Liam Wilson, Paulo Aokuso, Tayla Harris, Issac Hardman, Ella Boot, Youssef Dib, Jack Brubaker, and more. That’s a pretty epic line-up if you ask me.”
