Tony Pace prevails in a classic; Dean Francis victorious in comeback

Steve Sims and Tony Borg produced another Great evening of boxing in Newport, South Wales as fans were treated to all the excitement that boxing can offer. The drama was high with fights that had shifts in momentum, in front of passionate supporters. The show was a double main event involving two title fights for British Masters honours in the lightweight and light heavyweight divisions.

Swansea Bill: Tobias Webb wins, Chris Jenkins Impresses

Swansea’s Tobias Webb won a six round points decision over Sunderland’s tricky journeyman, Jody Meikle, at the Oceana Nightclub, Swansea on a Paul Boyce Promotions show on Friday night.

Webb was consistent throughout the bout and displayed a good orthodox jab and timing in a slow-paced bout.

Newport’s Lee Churcher scored a sensational ninth round stoppage over Barrie Jones, of Ferndale, to win the vacant Welsh middleweight title – in front of his home supporters at Newport Leisure Centre, South Wales.

Motorpoint arena was once again the venue for Championship boxing in Cardiff – in a show billed ‘Night of the Dragon’. Cardiff Promotions and Sport and Stage Ltd gave the fans a good bill of boxing in a further celebration of St.David’s Day.
