Floyd “Money” Mayweather emerged as the victor over Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, under the bright lights of the MGM Grand, Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The fight was tense and a boxing match with few fireworks. It was an intriguing match-up of styles between the two best fighters of a generation.

The long wait is almost over. Floyd Mayweather (47-0, 26 KOs) faces Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KOs) at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, tonight – in what will be the highest grossing boxing match of all-time.

Gutsy Andy Lee earns Draw against Peter Quillin

The magnificent Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA, played host to the intriguing clash between WBO middleweight champion “Irish” Andy Lee and former, undefeated holder Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin. There was controversy at the weigh-in, as Quillin failed to make the weight and subsequently, Lee’s WBO belt wasn’t on the line.

The fight was aired as part of Premier Boxing Champions on NBC, and the bout while not fast paced, certainly contained drama. A lack of action, for periods, was countered by the intense nature of the affair.

Hopkins vs Kovalev – The Writers’ Predictions

Corey Gabriel Quincy
Bernard Hopkins is an all-time great; it would be ignorant to say that he will go down without a fight. With that said, I don’t know if he can handle the heavy-handed Kovalev’s onslaught for 12 rounds. I actually feel Hopkins’ craftiness could help him survive the distance, but he’s going to take some damage early on; too much to mount a comeback. He’s not going to get walked on, though – Hopkins will put on a good fight in probably inevitable defeat. Kovalev late TKO or points.

Full Card Ringside Report: Lee Selby Cruises to Victory, Gavin Rees Victorious, Nathan Cleverly back

A night of comebacks, retirements, cuts, knockdowns, prospects and World title ambitions were all in the mix at the Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff on Saturday night. ‘The Second Coming’, Matchroom promoted show had something for everyone as they served up a ten fight bill for the Welsh public.

With so many sub-stories, it is difficult, as to where to start – but that must go to one of Wales’ favourite sons; Gavin “The Rock” Rees. The boxing public wanted a rematch with Gary Buckland and the two Warriors obliged. Back in the same venue, on February 1st, Cardiffian Buckland edged a points win in an absolute War. This time it was, Rees who had his hand raised after another compelling twelve rounds.
