Tickets for title packed show headlined by Tyson Fury at the o2 arena on sale Monday

Tickets for heavyweight sensation Tyson Fury’s next fight on Saturday 28th February 2015 at The O2 arena, London, will go on sale on Monday (22nd December) at 10am.

Undefeated Fury headlines an action packed Frank Warren show when he makes the first defense of his European Heavyweight Championship that he won with a career best performance against Dereck Chisora last month.

Saunders and Eubank Jr. set to steal the show

It has taken until the last week of November but we can safely say that the best domestic show of the year takes place on Saturday night, in London at the ExCel Arena in Dockland, London. The card, which is being billed as “Bad Blood”, features world ranked heavyweights Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora in a rematch of their July 2011 clash, as the nominal main event. However, this fight has been usurped from its position by the real grudge match which is chief support, featuring undefeated middleweights Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr., which along with the FrochGroves epic from earlier in the year, is the most anticipated trade fight of the year.

The heavyweight rematch has been marinating for some time now, originally scheduled to headline Frank Warren’s 26 July show, before Chisora suffered a broken hand just days before the fight, forcing a postponement. This must have been heartbreaking for Tyson Fury as he had spent the best part of 2013 waiting on David Haye and his fragile body. Of course, that particular blockbuster never happened, Haye firstly suffering a cut eye in sparring just one week prior to the initial date and then undergoing shoulder surgery prior to the revised scheduled date, bringing that proposed match to a deadend.

The Boxing World’s Predictions – Billy Joe Saunders vs Chris Eubank Jr

Ahead of Saturday’s unmissable ‘Bad Blood’ grudge fight between Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jr, boxing writer Glynn Evans canvassed 25 of boxing’s ace faces to find out who they were backing.

Don Charles (London coach): I go with Billy Joe Saunders on points. Eubank Jr is very good – in fact I can’t detect any weaknesses – but I just feel it’s a fight too soon for him.

It’s about levels. Billy Joe has a champion’s mentality and also has a very experienced, very able trainer (Jimmy Tibbs) to steer him from the corner and I think that could be vital.

The Tested Vs The Detested: Billy Joe Saunders Vs Chris Eubank Jr

Despite boasting a resume of 18 wins in 18 bouts, it would be fair to say that Christopher Livingston Eubank Junior has had things relatively easy in terms of the opposition he has faced since turning pro in 2011. Although in victory he has at times looked sensational, his opponents have mainly been less than stellar, lowly ranked journeymen. It’s true, there have been murmurs of Chris impressing during sparring with the likes of George Groves and James De Gale and there is still a clip up on YouTube of him seemingly ‘holding his own’ against super-middleweight world champ Carl Froch, however, sparring sessions are essentially fight preparation and a very different experience to boxing ‘under the lights’ of a full to capacity arena. Ultimately, Eubank Jr is still unproven and untested as a professional. The fact he had a relatively short amateur career (in the States) adds further fuel to the mystery regarding just how good he actually is. Who knows how he would cope in the face of true adversity? The mystique regarding the ability of this brash, Brighton raised pugilist is set to become clearer this coming Saturday night when he takes a huge step up in class and faces what will without doubt be his biggest challenge to date.

Saunders slams baby Eubank

Billy Joe Saunders has slammed Brighton Baby Chris Eubank Jnr. for failing to show up to yet another head-to-head press conference today to promote their Saturday 29th November showdown at the ExCeL London.

The Hatfield star, who had travelled from his training camp in Marbella with trainer Jimmy Tibbs, was stood up for the third time in a row by the seaside keyboard warrior who was replaced on the top table with a cardboard cutout.

Chris Eubank Snr’s reason for not letting his son not attend the press conference was because he claimed the security provided by promoter Frank Warren was not adequate for the safety of his son, following comments that Saunders would “slap” Eubank Jnr.

Tibbs: Saunders training camp going perfect for Eubank jnr. Showdown

Jimmy Tibbs says that his charge Billy Joe Saunders training at a foreign camp for the big showdown with rival Chris Eubank Jnr brings back memories of Nigel Benn’s epic win over Mauro Galvano.

The legendary East End trainer took British boxing great Benn to a Tenerife training camp for his WBC World Super-Middleweight title challenge against Italian Galvano in 1992, the results showed with Benn pulling off a memorable victory in Rome, stopping Galvano in four rounds.

Tibbs has taken British, Commonwealth and European Middleweight Champion Saunders to the MGM Gym in Marbella and is getting the same good vibes from the camp that he did over twenty years ago with Benn.
