Diaz, Collazo, Browne added to April 11th PBC undercard

Superstars of the present and future will be well represented on Saturday, April 11 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn as a full undercard of Olympians, prospects and future stars hit the ring looking to impress the Brooklyn crowd.

The exciting undercard features Olympic Gold Medalist for the Dominican Republic Felix Diaz battling Brooklyn-born Gabriel \”Tito\” Bracero in a 10-round super lightweight contest. Plus, the return of Brooklyn\’s own Luis Collazo, who will compete in welterweight action.

Also fighting at Barclays Center are a pair of 2012 U.S. Olympians, as undefeated prospect \”Sir\” Marcus Browne takes on the experienced Aaron Pryor Jr. and Browne\’s Olympic teammate Errol Spence Jr. makes his Brooklyn debut against once-beaten Samuel Vargas.

Welliver: “I will shatter Browne’s world title dream”

CHAUNCY WELLIVER says he’ll shatter Lucas Browne’s hopes of boxing for a world title and re-establish himself on the global stage when they meet next month.

The New Zealand-based American, 31, was himself once ranked in the WBC’s top five ranked heavyweights and feels the November 12 fight is a chance to kick start his title hopes.

If experience counts for anything, Welliver will be at a huge advantage. The “Hillyard Hammer” has been a professional for over 13 years and has had 68 fights, while unbeaten Browne has been in just 21 paid bouts.

Marcus Browne: ‘My number one goal is to not just become a world champion, but to become a legend in the sport of boxing’

Marcus Browne is one of the hottest prospects in the United States.

The Light Heavyweight Southpaw from Staten Island boasts an accomplished amateur background, including winning the 2010 and 2011 Golden Gloves, and the 2012 US Championships before representing the United States in the 2012 London Olympics class, where he was stunned by Damian Hooper in the first round.

Even if he couldn’t shine for the American men in England, Browne was still in the spotlight come his professional debut in November of 2012. On that day, he knocked out Codale Ford in three rounds, and also won his five subsequent fights by knockout.

Paulie Malignaggi, Two-Time and Two-Division World Champion

“I expect the best Zab Judah. [I expect] a Zab Judah who is going to be fighting for his boxing career. I feel the same way.

“If we saw each other in the gym, we would try to knock each other out. There’s no love taps. With this much on the line you can bet we’re both going to have it out on Saturday.
