Seldin hammers away for fifth round knockout at Rockin’ Fights 17

On Friday night, in front of a nationally televised audience over the ESPN2 network and a standing room only crowd, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing presented the 17th installment of the popular “Rockin Fights” series at The Paramount in Huntington , NY.

The ESPN “Friday Night Fights” main event saw undefeated Jr. Welterweight prospect Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin successfully defend his WBC Silver International title with an impressive stoppage at 2:29 of the 5th round over a game and tough Johnny Garcia.

Raymond “Tito” Serrano decisions Jerome Rodriguez in Philadelphia

This past Tuesday night at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Jr. Welterweight Raymond “Tito” Serrano scored a clear unanimous decision over Jerome Rodriguez.

With the win, Serrano raised his record to 20-2 as the score cards read 59-55 on all cards.

“It was a fight that I worked on things in training,”said Serrano.

Philadelphia’s own Raymond “Tito” Serrano scored a convincing 6 round decision victory over fellow Philadelphian Jerome Rodriguez last night, Jan. 20th, 2015, at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

Serrano (20-2  9 KO’s) dominated the action winning easily on all three scorecards, 59-55.  Under the promotion of Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and new manager Mark Cipparone and trainer Raul Rivas, Serrano is once again showing he can be a force to be reckoned with in the Welterweight division.

Raymond Serrano returns from 22-month layoff tonight against Jerome Rodriguez

Tonight, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Jr. Welterweight Raymond “Tito” Serrano makes his 2nd appearance after a 22-month layoff when he takes on Jerome Rodriguez (6-1-3, 2 KO’s) in a 6-round bout on a card that will be televised by Fox Sports 1.

Serrano of Philadelphia weighed in at 144.6 lbs at Tuesday’s weigh in and is rearing to go after his 4th round stoppage over Wilfredo Acuna on November 14 in Chester, PA.

Popular Jr. Welterweight Raymond Serrano, 18-2 9 KO’s, Philadelphia, PA,  will return to the ring this Friday, November 14th at the Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino in Chester, PA after a nearly 2 year layoff.  Serrano will be facing battle tested Wilfredo Acuna, 15-15 12 KO’s, Managua, Nicaragua, in a featured 6 round bout.

Promoted by Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing, Serrano started off his career in blazing style winning his first 18 fights.  Serrano stepped up in class taking on fellow undefeated prospect Karim Mayfield May 18th, 2012, which was telecast on ESPN’s “Friday Night Fights” series, and was stopped after 5 hard fought rounds suffering his first defeat.  Serrano returned the following January on ShoBox and took on rated fighter Emanuel Taylor but,  after a good start fell prey to Taylor’s punching power as Raymond was stopped in the 6th round suffering his 2nd consecutive TKO loss.

Serrano returns to face Wilfredo Acuna this Friday night at Harrahs Philadelphia

This Friday night,  Jr. Welterweight contender Raymond Serrano (18-2, 8 KO’s) returns to action when he competes in a six round bout against Wilfredo Acuna (15-15, 12 KO’s) in the co-feature bout at Harrahs Philadelphia in Chester, PA.

The show is promoted by Joey Eye Boxing , XFE and King’s Promotions.

Serrano of Philadelphia was one of the top prospects in the United States as he won his first 18 fights as he became a staple on ESPN’s Friday Night Fights.
