Macau Preview: “Ring of Gold”

Bob Arum’s shows in Macau seem to split opinion a lot more than they probably should. Some people feel that Arum’s obsession with the Macau market is a detriment to his American based shows and a reflection on a promoter who is being run out of town by a younger fresher rival in the form of Golden Boy Promotions. Other people, like myself, feel that the move to Macau is a master stroke and a chance to take advantage of the globalisation of boxing talent, something that no promoter has really been able to do in recent years.
