Floyd Mayweather vs The Fabulous Four

It has been over a month since Floyd Mayweather had a great performance against Manny Pacquiao. The general consensus amongst boxing fans was 117-111, in a favour of Mayweather. Floyd showed a high boxing IQ, and amazing ring generalship to get the win. After the fight, there have been discussions online, and in the general boxing community, of where Mayweather stands in the all-time pound-for-pound rankings.

A Marvelous Anniversary

Thirty years ago today Marvelous Marvin Hagler defended his Undisputed Middleweight Championship against Thomas ‘The Hitman’ Hearns. The match up was dubbed The Fight, and there has never been a more appropriate title given to a boxing match during the promotional stage. 

Everything has pretty much been written about this fight over the years. Spectators who viewed it live will never forget it. Spectators who viewed it at the Out Door Arena in Caesar’s Palace have even greater stories to tell about this savage battle. 

My Ten Favourite Fights

Over the years, I have witnessed literally thousands of fights and to name my top ten will do injustice to many others and I regret that. Still, I’ll give it a go and list them in order of preference. Rightly or wrongly and in order to decrease the universe, I had to see them live or when they were first televised (no tapes, YouTube’s, and/or videos).
