Former world titleholder Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner 34-4-1 (24) is tipping Errol ‘The Truth’ Spence Jr 27-0 (21) will be too young and too strong for Filipino superstar Manny ‘Pac Man’ Pacquiao 62-7-2 (39) when the pair meet in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 21.

At 31 WBC and IBF welterweight champion Spence is 11 years younger than Pacquiao and will also enjoy a four-inch height and five-inch reach advantage over the Filipino superstar in their all-southpaw showdown.

Broner, also 31, knows a thing or two about Pacquiao. He went 12 rounds in a losing effort against the former eight-division world champion at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada in January 2019, losing by scores of 111-117 and 112-116 twice.

“I think Errol will be a little too big, too strong. He can probably stop him,” Broner said to EsNews.

“Use his jab, use his reach and let Manny run into a left hook.

“I think [Pacquiao is] going to run into a left hand [from Spence]. Manny is going to jump into a left hand. I think he’s going to jump into one of those left hands. Errol is going to hurt him bad.”

Texan Spence bounced back from injuries sustained in sustained in a single car accident in October 2019 to comfortably outpoint former two-weight world champion Danny ‘Swift’ Garcia 36-3 (21) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas last December. The scores were 117-111, 116-112 and 116-112.

The 42-year-old Pacquiao has not fought since his 12-round split decision victory over previously undefeated American Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman 29-1 (22) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada two years ago. Pacquiao was awarded the win with scores of 115-112 twice and 113-114. Thurman was down in the opening round.

Meanwhile, Broner has nominated former WBA junior welterweight champion Regis ‘Rougarou’ Prograis 26-1 (22) as the boxer he would like to face next.

The 32-year-old New Orleans southpaw has only ever been bested by undisputed 140-pound champion Josh ‘The Tartan Tornado’ Taylor 18-0 (13) in the final of the World Boxing Super Series. That fight went right down to the wire with Prograis dropping a majority decision by scores of 113-115, 112-117 and 114-114 in London two years ago.

According to Broner, it would be an easy night’s work.

“I want to knock Regis out,” Broner said. “Just get him out the way. That’s some light work, and I’m going to bet Lil’ Wayne an extra million.”

Broner also has beef with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, who has called him out before. As it stands, Woodley is expected to face Jake ‘The Problem Child’ Paul 3-0 (3) in August in what will be the popular YouTuber’s fourth fight against a debutant.

“That’s the guy that said he wanted to fight me,” Broner said about Woodley. “I’ll knock his ass out easy in a round or two. That would be some easy work.”
