Brandon Quarles back in action August 10th “I would love to beat the hot prospect”

Ringnews24.com: Hey Brandon, it’s good to hear from you again. How are things going?

Things are going pretty well, thanks for asking.

Ringnews24.com:  You haven’t been in the ring for almost 7 months, were you having trouble getting guys in the ring with you?

Yeah, a few fighters backed out of the fight at the last minute, it’s kind of discouraging but I stay in the gym I love it.

Ringnews24.com: Now going back to your last fight, the pressure you applied appeared to be effective but unfortunately the judges preferred the showier style of Arnett. If you could do that fight all over again, what would you do differently?

I would apply more pressure. Guys with fighting styles like that can’t really take constant pressure.

Ringnews24.com: You have had some time to really work on some things since then, what has been your main focus in your current camp?

I’ve been working on straight right hands, head movement, and foot work.

Ringnews24.com:  Your next opponent, who has finally been named, is Jimmy LeBlanc. Have you seen much of him?

Yes, he fought in DC a few times and I’ve seen him beat an undefeated guy before, I’ve also seen him get knocked out so I don’t which Jimmy I’m coming to fight. I guess I’ll see in the ring.

Ringnews24.com:  What do you think your biggest advantage is going into this fight?

I’m in great shape, and stronger than before. I fought on national television.

Ringnews24.com: He’s an experienced guy who’s been around for awhile. Do you see him presenting any problems for you in the fight?

No, I can adapt.

Ringnews24.com: Not to look past Leblanc, but what do you have planned for the rest of the year? Are you looking to stay busy?

Yes, I’m looking to stay busy and get the right fights. I would love to beat the hot prospect.

Ringnews24.com: In a perfect world, if you had things your way, how many times a year would you like to fight?

Three to five fights a year.

Ringnews24.com: Shifting gears to the business side of boxing. Why do you think you have so much trouble getting opponents? Do you think your style intimidates a lot of young prospects?

I’m a hard fight and a lot may say that fighting me too soon in their career is too much of a risk.

Ringnews24.com: If you could change one thing about Boxing from a business standpoint, what would it be and why?

Politics, because sometimes it prevents people from getting the win they deserve.

Ringnews24.com: Would you like to make a prediction for your upcoming fight?

I’m looking to set up a knock out.

Ringnews24.com:  Alright Brandon, we are nearing the end of this interview. Is there anything you would like to say to the fans? Any fighters you want to call out?

Thank you to all my supporters, my team, my city Alexandria, VA.

I’m taking them as they come. Just know I will be ready for whoever is on the other side of the ring.

Ringnews24.com:  As always Brandon thank you for taking the time to talk with us. It’s greatly appreciated. Good luck next weekend Champ.

Thanks, and thanks for having me.
