Evander Holyfield to host first boxing show in New York

Four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield and Real Deal Sports, partnering with Resorts World Casino New York City, head to the boxing capital of the world to host their first card in New York in a world-class weekend for boxing fans September 8-9th, 2017.

Featuring the top boxing prospects from the Tri-State area, the official weigh-in and press conference kicks off at noon on September 8th at Bar 360 at Resorts World Casino, featuring remarks from Real Deal’s top prospects and an appearance by Holyfield himself.

In the main event on September 9th, former Featherweight World Champion Elio “The Kid” Rojas faces off against local favorite Bryant “Pee Wee” Cruz for the WBC-USNBC Super Featherweight Championship in Resorts World’s Central Park event space.

Co-featured in the Junior NABF Middleweight title, Ian “Young General” Green battles Kemahl “The Hitman” Russell in an eight-round battle, and former amateur standout Edgar Berlanga will make his hometown debut against the undefeated Saadiq Muhammad in another feature attraction.

The undercard features New York State Middleweight champion Devaun Lee of Queens, undefeated Mexican welterweight prospect Julian Sosa, Brooklyn-based welterweight Cesar Francis, 21 year old Brooklyn native Khalid Twaiti, and acclaimed amateur Saleg Almulaki of Queens. Doors open to the ring at 6 p.m. on September 9th.
