Gary Buckland vs Richard Commey for Commonwealth title in July

Gary Buckland (28-4) jumps straight back into action, and the title mix, when he takes on hard punching Ghanaian, Richard Commey on July 12th. York Hall, Bethnal Green, London is the venue for this exciting match-up for the vacant Commonwealth (British Empire) lightweight title.

Former BBBofC British super featherweight champion Buckland, is coming off back-to-back fights with fellow Welshman Gavin Rees, both winning one each.

Undefeated Commey of Accra, Ghana, the home of boxing legend Azumah Nelson, has fought in the UK several times including last year when he stopped Paul Truscott, in eight rounds in a Commonwealth lightweight title final eliminator.

Commey, is the current African Boxing Union lightweight champion and since turning professional in February 2011, has notched up seventeen straight wins all by knockout.

The contest promises to be full of fireworks and one not to be missed.
