Steven Pearce Enters ‘The Chase’

Stourbridge’s former Midlands Area welterweight champion, Steven Pearce, has been added to EJKO Promotions’ Cannock boxing block buster – ‘The Chase’.

‘The Fierce’ is back in action for the first time since his defeat at the fists of undefeated English and WBA Intercontinental champion, Bradley Skeete.

“I’m buzzing to be back in action,” he told www.uko-boxing.com. “Boxing Bradley Skeete was a great experience. He’s one of the hottest prospects in the country right now and it was a privilege to share the ring with him. I thought I held my own until he caught with a great shot.

“Now I’m ready to get back out there and get myself back in the mix for a title. This is a perfect, local, tune-up fight for me.”

Pearce will compete in a four-round contest at the Chase Leisure Centre on Saturday, 4th October. Tickets, priced at £30 and £50 Ringside, are available by calling 07891 263 167.

Stafford’s undefeated super middleweight, Grant Cunningham, and Telford’s Kieron Gray, top the bill as they battle it out to be crowned British Bronze Masters Super Middleweight Champion.

Undefeated Stoke welterweight Josh McLaren will be looking to make it 5-0 when he faces Bulgarian scrapper, Danny Donchev whilst McLaren’s cousin, Kieran, is set to make his professional debut.

Stoke’s Mark Till steps in with Dudley’s Jamie Gelder, who made a winning start to life in the paid ranks earlier this year. Gelder tunes up for his shot at Till by taking on Brian Peacock in Scotland next month.

Completing the card is Chester light welterweight, Nathan Clarke, who faces Tamworth’s evergreen Matt Seawright.

Stoke Lightweight Andy Keates no longer features.

The show takes place at Chase Leisure Centre, Stafford Road, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS11 4AL.

Tickets, priced at £30 and £50 Ringside, are available by calling 07891 263 167.
