Harper, Clarke, Mooney & McLaren Are Lords of the Manor

Tewkesbury light middleweight, Adam Harper (1-0), enjoyed a dream professional boxing debut at Hatherley Manor Hotel on Friday evening.

The 26-year-old recorded a 40-35 points victory over Edgars Sniedze in front of a vociferous 520-strong sell-out crowd on Errol Johnson & Les Allen Promotions’ ‘Lords of the Manor’ Show.

Harper boxed with real intensity and put his Latvian opponent to the canvas in the second round following a flurry of shots. He continued to pour forward at every opportunity, eager to impress his loyal supporters, before deservedly having his hand raised at the end of his first four rounds in the paid ranks.

Halesowen super middleweight, Lennox Clarke (5-0), took just 14 seconds to dispose of Edgars brother – Raimonds. The 23 year-old caught his opponent with a peach of a straight right hand, which put an end to proceedings almost before they had began.

Elsewhere on the card, Worcester lightweight, Michael Mooney (8-12), warmed up for his English Title Eliminator with Ben Wager next month with a shut-out win over Tamworth’s Matt Seawright over four-threes whilst Stoke light welterweight, Kieran McLaren (2-0), recorded a second professional victory as he eased past the aptly named ‘Dirty’ Dan Carr from Trowbridge 40-35.

More boxing is scheduled for Hatherley Manor in 2015 and should also feature Errol Johnson’s latest signing, Scott Gibbins Jr. The Cheltenham light heavyweight was introduced into the ring on Friday.

Stablemates Lennox Clarke and Adam Harper are next in action at Walsall Town Hall on Saturday, 29th November.

Tickets for ‘Bad Blood in the Black Country’, priced at £30 and £50 Ringside, are available from Walsall Town Hall Box Office on 0845 111 2900. The aftershow party and weigh-in both take place at the Pitch Sports Bar and Grill on Bridge Street, Walsall.
