New York, NY – Terence Crawford and Hank Lundy settled their twitter “beef” in the ring but it was Crawford who had the last word when he stopped his nemesis at two minutes nine seconds of the fifth round.
Crawford was the heavy favorite going into the fight but a brief scuffle during a press conference had some fans questioning if perhaps his opponent Hank Lundy had found a way to get under his skin, and get an edge come fight night.
Lundy fought well in the early rounds but as the fight progressed it was obvious that Crawford was beginning to find his rhythm and hit the target. Lundy tried to make it a dog fight and often tagged Crawford with some good shots. But in the end Crawford’s patience, timing, ring IQ, and power were the difference.
With this win Crawford makes his second successful title defense and puts his name in the hat to face Manny Pacquiao should he defeat Bradley and decide to continue fighting.
Other possible opponents for the Omaha, Nebraska native are Viktor Postol, Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnkov.
